Announcing Imunify360 v.8.0 with Improved Performance

Written by Vladimir Markevich | Dec 19, 2024 11:35:08 AM

We’re thrilled to announce the rollout of a new version of Imunify360, engineered to deliver significant memory and performance improvements!

Over the past year, we’ve been hard at work developing a brand-new Imunify360 agent, designed to:

  • Use significantly less memory: Overhead has been reduced to less than 20MB in many cases, compared to the previous usage of 100MB to 300MB.
  • Reduce CPU usage, making Imunify360 more efficient.
  • Fit even the smallest VPS configurations, including systems with just 512MB RAM.

This performance boost is powered by the agent’s transition from Python to the high-performance Go (Golang) programming language.

Seamless transition

The upgrade is being delivered as part of the normal update process—no action is required from administrators. Currently, 80% of the Imunify360 fleet has already been upgraded, and we anticipate the majority of installations will be updated before January 1, 2025.

Looking ahead

We remain committed to further minimizing resource overhead and enhancing Imunify360’s performance to provide the best possible experience for our customers.
