1. Feature Management​

Our cPanel users will see a new and better way to manage the features they offer their users.

Feature Management is our new way to (can you guess?) … manage features. It's fully integrated into cPanel and it's going to make dealing with multiple service plans and packages a breeze. Before, you could only change features user by user. Now, you can assign any feature changes to entire service plans. (You might even get a welcome windfall from this extra flexibility.)

For the time being, the features you'll be able to manage are the Malware Scanner and Proactive Defense. Later on, we'll be adding more. Soon, you'll be able to manage features such as the WAF, WebShield, and Domain Reputation Management. Remember, these are now all per-service plan, not per-user.

Features Management integrates into cPanel's Package Manager via their package extensions functionality. All enabled service plans will have package extensions enabled with these defaults:

• Malware Scanner - View reports only
• Proactive Defense - Available

2. Dashboard/Charts

Ever wondered what Imunify's doing 'under the hood'? Now you'll know.

There's going to be a whole bunch of cool graphs and charts that show you where and how Imunify360 is dealing with attacks. In the first phase, there will be these Incidents and Alerts:

• Total number of alerts
• Number of CAPTCHA events
• Number of WAF alerts
• Number of web-based brute-force attacks
• Number of OSSEC (network level) attacks
• Number of denied requests from bad bots

Each is a bar chart, a plot of the number of blocked historical attacks for each day in the past 30.

For a broader overview, you can see each chart's data in the form of a 'heat map'. This superimposes the data for incidents and alerts on to a map of the world. Each data point is a dot on the map whose size represents the number of attacks emanating from the marked place. It's simple and intuitive and I think you'll love it.

The dashboard will be getting more soon—performance stats, protection indicators and emergency notifications—I'll let you know when they're available.

3. Proactive Defense extension - Blamer (or 'How was I hacked?')

Our revolutionary Proactive Defense technology is getting a new extension. We're calling it 'The Blamer'.

The blamer tracks and inspects PHP-based malware, tracing its origins into your server, where it resides and how it survives. The blamer collates and anonymizes the information. It gets sent to our Malware Analysts who'll use it to hone the defensive capabilities of Imunify360. You can activate or deactivate the Blamer at any time.

This facility is an important step forward in our efforts to defend against malware in a dynamic and targeted way. To work, it requires your consent. We hope you'll give it, to improve our product's capabilities, and in turn, fortify your server's defenses.

The new Imunify360 4.0 Beta isn't just these new features, of course. The team has been hard at work improving its overall stability and performance.
