Apart from releasing new 6.0 & 6.1 Imunify360 versions, we were also able to dramatically improve Proactive Defense overhead and promptly provide WAF rules against Log4j vulnerability. A serious new vulnerability was identified in the popular Java logging library log4j v2. It received  ID CVE-2021-44228 - Apache Log4j2 Remote Code Execution. CVSS score 10.0.

On December 6th, the Imunify360 team released an improved set of rules for Proactive Defense. The rules are destined to enhance the overall performance of the server. At this time, we already see an average load decrease on servers running Imunify360 as well as significantly lower response time (see Figure 1).

Recently two bugs - DEF-18045 and DEF-17281 were discovered in the AI-Bolit shipped with Imunify products. It could potentially cause arbitrary command execution, so we made sure to fix it promptly.
